Seedelf Wallet

Private money on Cardano.

A Cardano wallet for Chrome with two sides: a public account for everyday Cardano, and a private balance where no UTxO says who owns the money. One recovery phrase opens both.

Seedelf Wallet's private side: a private balance of 28 ADA, with buttons to receive privately, send privately, make public and create a Seedelf

Inside the wallet

  • Sending 5 ADA privately to a Seedelf the wallet found by its name

    Pay any Seedelf by name

Paste the name and the wallet finds it. The payment can't be linked to the Seedelf it pays.

  • Creating a Seedelf tagged alice, paid for by the public account

    Get paid privately

Create a Seedelf and share its name. Anyone can pay it, and no payment points back to it.

  • Making 10 ADA public, with a warning that the address is your own public account

    It says what links

Make money public to any address or $handle. The wallet warns you before a payment ties your accounts together.

  • The public account: its balance with staking rewards, the pool it stakes with and its voting power

    A full Cardano wallet

Send, stake with a pool and delegate your vote. Restore a Lace or Eternl phrase, or make a new one.

How it stays private

Each payment to a Seedelf reaches its owner under a fresh copy of their key, so no UTxO says who owns it, and payments to the same Seedelf can't be linked to each other.

Spending is proven with a zero-knowledge proof, so it doesn't reveal the spender either.

Amounts, tokens and timing stay public, as with any Cardano wallet, and making money private or public again links your public account to what you move. Read what Seedelf hides and what it doesn't.

dApps, privately

Use a dApp without showing it your public account. A private session funds a one-time account from your private balance, the dApp sees only that account, and what comes back goes into your private balance.

  • Swap through Minswap from a new one-time account each time
  • Connect any site to a private session, or to your public account as with any wallet
  • What comes back can go through Lovejoin, a mixer on Cardano, so it's harder to tie to the session
  • Sites can't see the wallet until you turn on connecting them in Settings

How it's built

  • Your recovery phrase never leaves your device, and it's encrypted with your password
  • Every transaction is built and signed inside the extension, in Rust compiled to WebAssembly
  • Read any transaction before you sign it, decoded on your device with nothing looked up
  • No sign-up, no analytics, no tracking
  • Open source under the MIT license
  • In English, Spanish and Japanese

Seedelf Wallet is early software, and neither Seedelf nor Lovejoin has had a third-party audit. A bug bounty pays in ADA for any flaw that can lose funds.

On the command line

seedelf-cli is a Seedelf wallet for the terminal, on Linux, macOS and Windows. It keeps its own key, apart from Seedelf Wallet's recovery phrase.
